The success and direction of Secret Location can’t be attributed to one single individual, but rather to the diverse team of people who all make it what it is! Our team members have rich and unique backgrounds, and everyone brings something different to the table. With all projects, we always come back to our ethos and ensure that our partnerships reflect our values and commitments. This has given us the opportunity to work with a variety of like-minded brands, companies, and individuals from all around the world.  

In this spirit, to commemorate our 10th anniversary, Secret Location has partnered with Canadian company Wrappr and Canadian artist Essery Waller to produce THE ESSERY Scarf. This beautiful mulberry silk scarf is designed to be multifunctional; use it as a scarf, use it as a sustainable alternative to wrapping paper, tie it into a small bag, the options are endless!

The print features various layers; a mix of organic shapes and more contemporary designs are a homage to Vancouver and its balance between nature and city. The colour pallet features our eye-catching Secret Location Blue, and a selection of playful yet luxurious colours inspired by our environment. The line work feature is a reference to our branding, inspired by the details found within our key logo. The result is a colourful and stylish scarf that can be used in a plethora of ways.

THE ESSERY captures Secret Location’s commitment to responsible production and creative design which has been produced sustainably and responsibly in partnership with Wrappr. The producer, who is based in China, holds various certifications, including BSCI, ISO9001, and HIGG certifications.  Additionally, the functional versatility of THE ESSERY lends itself to a sustainable mindset. Whether you use it to wrap a gift, style it as a scarf, or wear it as a top, there will always be new and exciting ways you can make use of this beautiful scarf for years to come! 

Wrappr is a Canadian brand born out of the search for sustainable alternatives to conventional wrapping paper. Inspired by the Japanese Furoshiki, which is used to wrap and carry goods, Wrappr collaborates with artists from all around the world, including everywhere from Japan to Canada, to make unique and colourful designs. 

Essery Waller is a Victoria-based multidisciplinary artist who works closely with Wrappr to create many of their popular designs. While mostly focused on graphic design, Essery also does photography, videography, and website development projects.
