On January 25th, Chinese New Year or otherwise called Lunar New Years is one of, if not the biggest celebration in South-East Asia. Countries from China, Korea, Singapore, Vietnam, and a plethora of others commemorate the week-long festival. From giving out red envelopes to clearing out last years clutter, and watching the Dragon dance, the festival is nothing short of vibrant traditions for everyone to join in on.

Part of celebrating the Lunar New Years is dressing in new pieces of clothing and decorating with the colour red in & around your home which represents good-fortune and joy. Hanging red lanterns and tall-door couplets are examples of what you might already recognize during this time of year. It doesn't end at the decorations you've put together either, as it can also be translated into the clothing you wear. Dressing up in red pieces as to ward-off bad luck and allow good ones is a custom. Interestingly, 2020 brings on the year of the Rat and colours such as white & blue are also lucky.

Wanting to celebrate Lunar New Years, we chose charming outfits with a splash of red, along with gift ideas that you can present at your friends & family reunions. Although different countries celebrate the festival in different ways, however, no-matter where in the world you choose to celebrate, one thing in common to the Lunar New Years is a symbol of hopeful new-beginnings and reunions with loved ones.
