Trained in traditional saddle-making, Ilya Fleet took his classic training and melded it with three-dimensional design to create one of the sexiest, most celebrated leather accessories brands in London.
Russian-born Fleet and his wife and business partner Resha Sharma (a graduate of Central Saint Martins) have created a collection of functional, wearable art, detailed with zippers, studs and a good dose of risqué. Fleet, who learned his craft from his late father (a renowned Russian sculptor), originally started making his bondage-inspired pieces as an experiment in his bedroom.
