The Lucky Bag, or 'Fukubukuro' ( 福袋, fuku meaning luck, bukuro meaning bag), is a yearly tradition in Japan where bags are filled with various contents and sold at a lesser value. As each bag is sealed, the contents are a mystery. The purchaser either purchases the gift of surprise for themselves, or gives the gift of surprise to another.
